Bollywoods’ British import Katrina Kaif who has delivered back to back 5 hit in last 2 years is looking out to perform challenging roles. The latest in her kitty is the Prakash Jha directed film ‘Rajniti’. Katrina Kaif plays the interesting character of Indu Behen, wife of a slain politician in the film which is now being shot in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. For the movie
Katrina Kaif has even delivered her dialogues in chaste hindi. One of her dialogue goes like this “Abhi hamari mehendi ka rang bhi nahi utra tha ki usse berahmi se ujad diya gaya” and there were shouts of “Indu behen zindabad” from the crowd. Katrina Kaif plays the role of leader of Jan Shakti Party who takes charge of the party after her husband is dead. It is reported that director Prakash Jha himself recorded all the dialogues of Katrina Kaif in hindi and sent the cassette to the actress, with instruction to by heart and perfect them. There are rumors that Katrina Kaif’s character in the movie has been modeled on UPA Chairperson and Congress President Sonia Gandhi. In the movie Bollywoods latest heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor is playing the role of her husband, and it is rumored his character is based on the life of Rajiv Gandhi, former Prime Minister and husband of Sonia Gandhi. According to film director Prakash Jha ‘Rajniti’ directed is a political film based on Mahabharat. The film also has Prakash Jha regulars Nana Patekar, Ajay Devgan among others. it is reported that Nana Pataker is going to play a character similar to Lord Krisna
of Mahabhart, while Ajay Devgan is playing a character inspired by Karna. The film also has Priyanka Chopra, Arjun Rampal, who went almost bald for the film and Gulshan Grover playing pivotal roles.Though Prakash Jha continues to say ‘Rajniti’ is a work of fiction and denies the film has nothing to do with Congress President Sonia Gandhi, but said "Except that both are good looking and wear saris nothing is common between the two. Let people speculate". The film will be released later in the year.
